Have a Happy Thought: 

2022 was, as they say, a mood.

But this did give some opportunities for wonderful news headlines. Sometimes you get a great headline because the thing being reported was just. that. bonkers.

Sometimes it's just really good copy-editing! 

Here are a few that were compiled online - I've chosen my favourites but you may want to click through to find some more that tickle your fancy :)

Is that…? Yes, that is an Oxford comma in that headline!

I remember reading about this one; one of the humans that live in that house is a seal researcher.

He was gone from home when this happened!

The ONE TIME his professional life could have been useful around the house….

Have a Happy Thought:  Reading truly is a way to explore other minds and other worlds. Science-fiction especially is a great way to explore possible futures. From Star Trek communicators inspiring the popularity (if not the development ) of flip phones... ...To the terrifyingly accurate description of American politics in the mid 2020’s in Octavia Butler’s The Parable of the Sower and sequels...     ...And then there is Roald Dahl foretelling ChatGPT. Yep, you read that right. The author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG accurately described today’s “AI” language generators, in his 1953 short story “ The Great Automatic Grammatizator” . Have a Happy Thought:  Plants are amazing. (Possibly more on this in the future – for a sneak preview may I strongly recommend the book The Light Eaters by Zo ë Schlanger). Leaves alone are incredible things.
